Although the commentary here covers very serious subjects, the opinions and ideas expressed here are solely for entertainment purposes, usually my own.

In the future I will be adding contact information and areas for others to submit commentary. Please be patient, the United States of America was not built, nor squandered in a day. As with all things of great aspiration, the foundation must be laid with care, then, and only then, can we reach for the stars.

The time is now America.

They say to spare the rod spoils the child… and America is spoiled.

Since the time the greatest generation returned from fighting WWII in Europe and Japan,
they built this country into something that is greater than it ever was before and at
the same time something much worse.
They inspired respect from those around the world; those that they fought and conquered
and those that they saved. All they wanted was peace and a better life for their
children and their grandchildren.
And in this they succeeded, but also failed.

They raised a generation and told them they would be free from tyranny.
They allowed them to be free thinkers and told them that they would have a better life.
Then they said they were to take advantage of that life and enjoy it. When the time came,
they indeed passed that better life on to their children.
Where they failed them was by not explaining there are consequences for their actions.
They protested against their fathers and mothers demanding more; in addition to better
laws to defend equal rights and justice for all, they wanted an end to a war we never
should have fought, not because it wasn't just, but because we never put our heart and
soul into the conflict. This also sent a message: a message that you could do things
half-assed and get away with them, because we are America.
In a way this was the first time America put its’ respect on a credit card and could
not pay it back the interest: of which we are still paying for today. It is time America
that we stood up and took back what is rightfully ours. We need to take back our dignity
and in return earn respect back from the world. But in order to do this we must first get
rid of what is poisoning our country in Washington DC. It is time to disencumber our
government from the corrupt politicians and political parties, overzealous men and women
who control this country and continue to get us into wars we should not be in and spend
money we do not have. In just about eighteen months we have another opportunity to change
our government and our future.

Where are the candidates to help change America?

I do not know. But we need to find them. And we need to find them fast because our country
is on the verge of collapse, financially and most especially, a collapse morally.
How can we pretend we are leaving behind a better life for children, when they will be
lucky to have anything left at all?
